WHAT HEARTBREAK FEELS LIKE

It’s over. And all I feel is broken.

Love endures all things. But unfortunately, love does not endure distance and separation. Not for me at least.

When two people fall in love, it’s dynamite. Everything around us started to fade. We thought we were invincible. We thought that our love could endure any hardship that came our way. We thought our love was strong enough. We thought we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. We tried to make it work. We tried to fight for our love. But there was nothing left to fight for.

He has his dreams and his ambitions. And I have mine.

Our so-called indestructible love started forming cracks. Soon, all that was left were fragments of broken and empty pieces that could never be stuck together again. Distance robbed us of our time together but the lack of desire to fight for this relationship robbed us of our future. Or perhaps, there was never a future to begin with.

Our love ended after exactly one year and two months. Our love wasn’t strong enough.

And so, our love died.
